The delegation of the Croatian University North was greeted by the dean of Sándor Rejtő Faculty Dr. habil László Koltai, and Dr. Edit Csanák, Vice-Dean of the Faculty. The meeting was also attended by Prof. Dr. Imre Felde, Vice Rector of Óbuda University.
As a confirmation of the previous informal contacts, Prof. Dr. Marin Milkovic and his several prominent colleagues were hosted by the Dean of the RKK on 16 March in his office. The successful meeting outlined opportunities for joint educational cooperation and common research and innovation goals.
In his briefing, Prof. Dr. Marin Milkovic explained that their university (Sveučilište Sjever) is the second largest public university in Croatia, with two university centres in Koprivnica and Varaždin. In terms of student numbers, it is the fifth largest university of the country. The university was founded in 2015 by the merger of the University of Applied Sciences in Varazdin and the University of Media in Koprivnica. Currently, teaching and research work is carried out in 20 faculties.
At the meeting, Dr. habil László Koltai presented the educational profile and international relations of the Rejtő Faculty and outlined the main directions of internationalisation and the objectives of cooperation.
Following a successful discussion, the partners agreed to start – in the near future – the preparations for a joint MSc studyprogram in the field of environmental protection and packaging and to prepare a new joint PhD programme.
