The recent alumni meeting of Óbuda University’s Rejtő Faculty was a smashing success, bringing together former students from all over the world to reconnect and reminisce about their time at one of Hungary’s most prestigious institutions.

The event took place on a rainy Saturday afternoon in the heart of Budapest, with alumni of all ages and backgrounds gathering together to catch up with old friends, meet new ones, and share some fond memories from their time as students at the Rejtő Faculty.

The event began with a welcome speech from the Dean of the Faculty, who thanked everyone for coming and spoke about some of the exciting developments and initiatives happening at the university in recent years. It was clear from the Dean’s words that the Rejtő Faculty has remained committed to providing world-class education and research opportunities to its students, while also fostering a strong sense of community and camaraderie among its alumni.

Many of the alumni were excited to catch up with professors and staff members who had played important roles in their education, and to learn about new research and initiatives happening at the faculty.

These sessions were led by prominent faculty members and alumni who spoke about their experiences and offered advice and insights into these important fields.

In the evening, everyone reconvened for a gala dinner, complete with music, dancing, and plenty of laughter. It was a fitting end to a fantastic day, and everyone left feeling energized and inspired.

Overall, the alumni meeting of Óbuda University’s Rejtő Faculty was an outstanding success, showcasing the talent, dedication, and passion of the university’s alumni community. It was a reminder that the Rejtő Faculty continues to be a vital hub of education, research, and innovation, and that its former students are making significant contributions to society in Hungary and beyond.

The foreign students of Óbuda University’s Rejtő Sándor Faculty of Light Industry and Environmental Engineering have put together an unique exhibition showcasing their handmade paper dresses. Step into a world of imagination and innovation as you explore their stunning designs and see firsthand the talent and creativity of these international students, who participate in Stipendium Hungaricum programme.

On April 13, international product design students of the OE Rejtő Faculty took part in a study visit at one of the major Hungarian research institutes. The visiting group was accompanied by Prokai Piroska, the master teacher of the Faculty.

INNOVATEXT Textile Engineering and Testing Institute – founded in 1949 – is the central research, development and testing basis of the Hungarian textile and apparel industry.

The visitors was welcomed by the leading expert Mrs. Andrásné Kovács, who explained that their success is based on the high quality of service, commitment to the environment and social responsibility with which they want to achieve their costumer’s satisfaction. The institutes give quality advice to the clients (manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, etc.), for example: in the field of environment protection and recycling, and conduct on-site quality control tests.

After the short introduction the students were able to get to know the modern laboratories equipped with test equipment suitable for conducting chemical and physical tests, as well as the test methods.

The VII.th International Symposium-2023 brings together World expert participants and young researchers looking for opportunities for exchanges that cross the traditional discipline boundaries and allows them to resolve multidisciplinary challenging problems that only a venue of this nature can offer.
