Educational objectives:

The aim of the training is to educate broadly informed professionals who can influence the fundamental processes of today’s civilization’s development in accordance with the ecological limits of the Earth. With their scientific, social, economic, and technical knowledge, they can achieve a balance between sustainability, socio-economic development, and the regenerative capacity of the natural resources used. Building on the knowledge acquired in their initial training, they possess the technical and technological skills needed to prevent and reduce environmental damage, as well as to assess and mitigate existing damages and problems. They have comprehensive knowledge of the planning processes required to implement circular economy, low-waste, and environmentally friendly technologies, environmental safety, environmental health, and occupational safety. The knowledge acquired can be put to good use in industry and production, in farming organizations, local authorities, inspectorates, banking (green credits), and in all areas prioritizing sustainable development, the practical implementation of sustainability principles, and, in turn, the protection of the environment and environmental health and safety.

With the MSc in Environmental Engineering, our graduates have the opportunity to work primarily as environmental staff in companies, municipalities, government offices in the fields of environmental protection, nature conservation, water management, forestry, and other authorities, in administrative, licensing, and development tasks.
