A delegation of faculty members from the University of Novi Sad (Serbia) successfully participated in an educational and research workshop hosted by the Sándor Rejtő Faculty of Light Industry and Environmental Engineering at Obuda University in Budapest, as part of the CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies) program. The visit aimed to deepen professional ties between the two institutions, further develop joint research projects, and enhance student mobility.

The Serbian university was represented by lecturers Vesna Gvoić, Neda Milić Keresteš, Magdolna Pál, and Miljana Prica. The delegation actively engaged in the Faculty’s professional programs, exchanged experiences on teaching methodologies, and presented the University of Novi Sad’s latest research findings.

Dr. Magdolna Pál, for instance, had previously delivered a highly successful professional lecture at the Rejtő Faculty on the topics of cutting and binding technologies, demonstrating the continuous cooperation between the two faculties.

During the program, the delegation also held official discussions with the Faculty management. They met with Dr. habil. László Koltai, Dean, and Dr. habil. Róbert Németh, CEEPUS Coordinator.

The talks focused on plans within the CEEPUS network, opportunities for joint educational programs, and the harmonization of research and development activities. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to close collaboration with international partners, which is crucial for raising the standard of higher education in Central Europe.

The CEEPUS program plays a central role in supporting mobility and network cooperation among higher education institutions in Central Europe. The visit of the University of Novi Sad faculty to Budapest was made possible by this successful international exchange program, contributing to the strengthening of professional relationships and the promotion of scientific exchange.

The workshop once again demonstrated that regional university collaborations are key to scientific progress and quality education, laying the groundwork for further successful joint projects between the two universities.
